Tale of Three Woodcreeks

Some fifty years ago a plan was conceived to develop a resort in Wimberley where a lot could be bought, a home built and all could enjoy the land as a whole for hiking, hunting, horseback riding and fishing. A section (640 acres) was bought and named Eagle Rock Ranch Resort.  A lodge complete with restaurant, dance hall, movie theatre, and swimming pool was built and thus began the sale of lots that would make up what is now known as Woodcreek. Over the years this simple idea has evolved into three seperate entities now known as the City of Woodcreek, North Woodcreek and Wimberley Springs Community. 

About the City of Woodcreek

Located just north of Wimberley off of RR 12 is the incorporated City of Woodcreek. This is the location of the Wimberley golf course know as Quicksand which runs through the development of around 1300 persons. Woodcreek homes line the fairways, deer wonder the neighborhoods and beautiful tall Live Oaks grace the yards. I have lived here since 1995. I is a wonderful place where you get to know the neighbors. This area is ideally located for commuting to Austin and is just a couple of miles from the heart of Wimberley. Be sure to visit the once seperate but now part of subdivision know as Brookmeadow which is located just north of Woodcreek.

City of Woodcreek Real Estate

Average home sales price for 2009 was $173,000 with a range of $53,000(small cabin) to   $272,500. The average size on homes sold was right at 2,000 sq. ft. Please scroll to bottom of page for more sales statistics for the City of Woodcreek.
