Mountain Crest subdivision is a small, subdivision just north of Wimberley off RR 12. Characterized by Large lots (1 acre) , newer Wimberley homes (1995 - 2006) , wide streets , rolling hills,  beautiful trees, hill country views, accessibility to Austin and a gated entry, make this one of the areas most sought after neighborhoods around Wimberley. If larger tracts are important to you in your home or land search, besides Mountain Crest other subdivisions with large lots in include 
River Oaks and Saddleridge.

Mountain Crest Real Estate :

During the years from 2008 - 2009 homes have an average sales price of around $ 235,000 with a range from $165, 000 to $390,000. Home size has averaged 2356 SqFt with a range of 1496 - 3839 SqFt. Mountain Crest is a neighborhood in high demand with Days on Market averaging only 87 days over the last couple of years. Although very few lots are left to sale they do occasionally come on the market and have been averaging around $44,000 for a one acre lot.  There are some view properties on the northern end which will command higher prices.
